Today in Florida we incarcerate more of our citizens than the state of New York with New York city. The state of New Jersey with Newark, Jersey City and Trenton and you can throw in the city of Philadelphia for good measure and we still beat them. This is costing Florida taxpayers over 30% of the state budget a year in jails and correction facilities.
